Our Projects.

The most important thing we need to do at the old age home is convert to an alternative power source. Eskom's prices are rising every month and as we rely only on social services and donations we battle to keep up with electricity payments. We are trying to raise funds for solar panels, gas stoves, etc. Any donations of panels, gas stoves, solar or gas geysers will be greatly appreciated. We are starting a few projects to try and raise the funds ourselves, but to start the projects would require a few things as well.

Project 1. Making clothes to sell

At the Old Age home, we would like to employ a few skilled seamstreses to make clothes to sell. At the same time they will train volunteers from the comunity sewing skills. That way we will empower the comunity and raise funds for the Old age home. Unfortunatly we need the funds to pay the skilled seamstresses and we need sewing machines and fabric. Any donations of the above will be greatly appreciated.

Project 2. Open a shop

If we can get project 1 going, we would like to get a shop going on the premises and also sell online.

Project 3. Rent out the dining hall for functions

We would like to rent out the dining hall for company functions. Our staff will cater for the function. The dining hall can seat up to a 100 people and we can arrange transport and a tour of Soweto at a fee. Please note as this is an old age home we cannot allow alcohol on the premises. The Home would also like to rent out the boardroom for company meetings. In this we need funding or donations for a tea and coffee station, a projector and stationary.`1
