The Soweto Home for the aged was established in 1988 and has grown form a small community project to a registered NPO caring for the destitute, homeless, mentally and phisically disabled persons of Soweto and the neighbouring areas. The Home is currently caring for 122 elderly people and has created jobs for 50+ people from the communty.

The aim of the Soweto Home for the aged is to provide accommodation, food,  health  and social work services to the elderly in need.
